  20.   Is there an easier way to make cratered surfaces? I want the object to 
  21. fill most of the view and to extend far in to the distance.

  23. Currenlt, this is my method of maddness:

  25. 1) I make a GIANT flat plane with many divisions.
  26.  
  27. 2) triple the plane polygons.
  28.  
  29. 3) use magnet in small areas of teh plane..I repeat this step for a logn 
  30. time..almost forever it seems!! I do this to make all the little holes 
  31. and such..craters..etc.. *** THIS IS THE STEP I WANT TO REPLACE **

  33. 4) then i jitter it a little and walla..i am done..

  35. Is there a way to make repeatative brushmaps out of captured images?? 
  36. Like a mirror function for brushmaps??? I was thinking of using scans of 
  37. clouds..and converting then to B&W in order to creat bump displacement 
  38. maps...but when the maps repeat..there would be a noticable line?? This 
  39. is my question..anyone try this method and have good results?
